OUR STAFF

Our Staff

We're so thankful for the men and women that faithfully serve our local church family every day of the week. Their leadership, love, and compassion for people shows in everything they do. They're regular broken people like the rest of us, but they have a heart for God and a passion for the gospel.

Let us introduce you!

Randy Browder

Senior Pastor

The Lord called me to Pastor Fayetteville Street Baptist Church in March 2017. I grew up in a Pastor’s home in eastern North Carolina. I was saved and answered the call to preach during my teen years.

I went to Bible college in Florida were I meet my wife Missy. After I graduated from college I served as a youth pastor for 7 years and pastored in eastern North Carolina for 10 years before being called as Pastor of Fayetteville Street in March 2017. Missy and I have 4 children.

I love hunting with my compound bow, and dream of one day hunting elk in the western part of the United States. I love the mountains and enjoying hiking and being outdoors. My favorite college sports team is UNC…TAR – HEELS!!!!!

My greatest desire for Fayetteville Street Baptist Church is to see God form us into a ministry that is according to the pattern of Ephesians chapter 4. With the Lord’s help I desire to see Fayetteville Street be a healthy church that is Word Centered, Commission Driven, and that bears the image of Christ!

Maverick Hader

Youth Pastor

The Lord has allowed me to be the Youth Pastor here at Fayetteville Street Baptist Church since June of 2022. I accepted Christ as my personal Savior at the age of eight years old. When I was a young teenager my faith truly started to grow when my family moved to Chesapeake, Virginia and started to attend Great Hope Baptist Church. I was enrolled into the Christian school where I was surrounded by Godly peers and teachers.

It was in my Junior year of high school where I felt the Lord calling me into ministry. I kept suppressing that call because I thought ministry would be "boring". In the summer of 2017, my youth group took a missions trip to Belize. It was there that God showed me that ministry is not boring and I surrendered my life to Him.

After high school, I attended and graduated from Pensacola Christian College majoring in Youth Ministries with a minor in Physical Education. In 2020, I started dating my wife, Madison. We graduated and got married in June 2023! I enjoy going to the gym, sports, fishing, kayaking, and most of all, The Ohio State Buckeyes!

Madison and I have a heart for the youth of Asheboro, North Carolina. We desire to see teens grow in their faith and make the invisible God visible through their lives!

Gary Kidd

School Administrator

Prior to Christian School administration, I worked for a contractor for the Department of Justice in litigation support for seventeen years. The Lord allowed me to leave the secular workforce in the spring of 2007, to become the School Administrator in a local church ministry in Northern Virginia. I was privileged to serve in that local ministry for six years until the Lord moved me back into litigation support for five years before opening a door to become the School Administrator in a local church ministry in Pennsylvania. The Lord led me to FSBC as the School Administrator in August 2020. As the School Administrator, I am responsible for the oversight and daily operations of FSCS. At FSBC, I have the privilege of teaching our Higher Ground Connection Class and directing our Adult Choir.

I graduated from Virginia Tech, where I met my wife, Cheryl, and we were married in October 1990. We have nine children and (currently) five grandsons. Our children live across our nation from Colorado to Florida to Virginia to various parts of North Carolina.

My family and I enjoy rooting for our Virginia Tech Hokies and thoroughly enjoy when the Hokies are victorious over any North Carolina college team! Parenting nine children was not for the feint of heart at times, but now having a part in our childrens’ children’s lives is one of our greatest blessings.

My wife and I count it a privilege everyday to be a part of Fayetteville Street Christian School. The opportunity we have to interact with families who have entrusted their children to us is not something we take for granted. Our desire is to not only prepare our students academically for the career path the Lord has for their lives, but to build biblical character while applying biblical truth, with the goal of helping them to develop a Christ-honoring life.

Chris Beane

Outreach Pastor

I am privileged to serve as the Outreach Pastor at Fayetteville Street Baptist Church. I grew up in a Christian home and attended FSBC growing up. At the age of seven, I trusted in Jesus Christ for my salvation at FSCS.

During my teenage years, I found myself adopting the attitudes and behaviors of someone who didn't believe in the transforming power of the gospel. However, God intervened and showed me the error of my ways, bringing me back to a place of repentance and faith.

While on staff at FSCS in 2014, I surrendered to the Lord. Following that surrender, He gave me the desire to serve Him in ministry. I attended and graduated from Ambassador Baptist College with a BA in Missions. During my time at Ambassador, I also met my wife, Candace! We were married on March 10, 2017. The Lord has given us two beautiful children, Halla and Theodore. We joined the team at FSBC in June of 2023. I enjoy eating at The Table in Asheboro (best place in town for coffee), watching Alabama football, and finding a trail in the Uwharrie to hike!

We desire to serve Jesus with all of our heart and make Him known in central North Carolina! God has also given us the desire to minister in England. We believe God has us at FSBC to prepare for our future ministry there.

Missy Browder

Missy Browder serves as the Administrative Assistant. Missy has worked at FSBC since April 2017. She is married to Pastor Randy Browder and they have four children.

Ms. Covey has served FSBC since 2011. She has a love for the Lord that is evident by her faithfulness to minister both in the church and school.
